Petersburg punk-rave band Little Big released a video for the song Generation Cancellation in which they strongly condemned the Russian military special operation in Ukraine. The clip was the group’s first creative effort in the past eight months, and accordingly, the first public release since the start of special operations.

The clip allegorically tells the story of any military conflict: politicians with banknotes appear in the frame, soldiers are pawns on the players’ chessboard, drops of oil, a television that turns into a sewer, and a suitcase with a red button. The clip ends just by pressing this button, after which the main characters of the story – the lead singer of the group Ilya Prusikin and the band member and his girlfriend Sofia Tayurskaya – go to heaven and appear in the images of Adam and Eve.

The authors of the video idea were Alina Pyazok and Prusikin herself, the permanent creator and director of the group’s videos. Comedian Alexander Nezlobin also appeared in one of the episodic roles in the frame.

The clip was posted on YouTube, it currently has around 900k views. In the description of the clip – an appeal with a request to stop the special operation in Ukraine. The Little Big group as a whole and its participants personally spoke out against the special operation and consistently defended their positions from the very beginning, but only now have they made such a loud statement.

In addition, a press release stating that the group has decided to leave Russia was reflected in the press:

The group is currently based in Los Angeles.

Previously, videos and songs denouncing the actions of the Russian government in Ukraine were released by Zemfira (“Meat” and “Don’t Shoot”), Morgenstern, Pink Floyd and other artists.
