Prince of Monaco II. Albert and his wife, Princess Charlene, visited Oslo with their children and met with Crown Prince Haakon of Norway. Together they attended the opening of the exhibition “Wandering on the Sea of ​​Science” at the Fram Museum in Oslo. The museum is dedicated to the history of Norwegian polar expeditions and is named after the Fram expedition ship Fridtjof Nansen. Contrary to rumors of marital trouble, Albert and Charlene were casual and even kissed in public.

To appear in public, Charlene chose a black suit from the Swiss brand Akris. Monaco’s royal couple was not invited by chance. Albert II’s ancestor, the eleventh Prince of Monaco, Albert I, led numerous scientific expeditions from 1898 to 1907, including to Spitsbergen. The exhibition also tells about them.

During the opening of the exhibition, representatives of royal families met with descendants of Norwegians who participated in the prince’s expeditions to Svalbard. Albert and Charlene’s son, Jacques, also attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.

This is the couple’s second appearance in public recently. After a long hiatus due to health conditions, Charlene has returned to her royal duties. True, according to the French edition of Voici, Charlene agreed to this for 12 million euros a year – supposedly, such a contract was signed between the spouses this spring.

During her trip to South Africa, Charlene was away from her family for about 10 months as she was seriously ill and underwent various surgeries. There were rumors in the press that Charlene did not want to return to Monaco because of marital problems, but this was denied at the palace. When the princess nevertheless returned home, she did not appear in public for some time – according to Albert, this was because Charlene was undergoing treatment in a clinic in Switzerland.
