On March 14, Roskomnadzor blocked Instagram* in Russia. From that moment on, users started to think about which platforms they should switch to, which is especially important for bloggers who do not want to lose touch with the audience.

The Perfluence platform did an analytical study and found that bloggers and casual users in Russia prefer VKontakte twice as much as Telegram messenger this month as an alternative to Instagram*.
“From February 15 to March 16, the dynamics of post activity on the platform showed that the number of posts on Instagram* decreased by 150% (from 4109 posts per day to 1622). At the same time, the share of bloggers’ presence in the social network has not decreased by more than 15%. It is worth noting that the number of daily posts on Instagram* has decreased by about 1.5 thousand, as some customers leave both the information space and the Instagram* network, analysts said.

As it turned out, Instagram* statistics in Russia fell by 30%, while VKontakte and Telegram became leaders in Russia in terms of content volume and user activity. In addition, the traffic on the TikTok platform has decreased by 30 times. Previously, the company had restricted Russian users from posting videos.
