Paramount Global veteran Syrinthia Studer joined the company’s content licensing division as executive vice president of International Productions.
Paramount’s new business division develops and produces a film series that includes internationally produced local language productions and nationally or internationally produced microfinance films for release on theater or direct consumer platforms globally. It will focus on culturally specific originals and remakes in the local language from Paramount Pictures’ huge library of films. In his new role, the student will oversee content strategy, local language, and micro-budget film development and production, reporting to Paramount’s Global Content Licensing Officer, Dan Cohen. He leads a creative team in both the domestic and international markets and is based in Los Angeles.

An industry veteran for over 20 years, Studer most recently served as Executive Vice President of Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Films, overseeing all live-action art content for Awesomeness and Nickelodeon’s Kids & Family Studio. Previously, the student was Executive Vice President of Paramount Pictures at Worldwide Acquisitions, where he oversaw the global content acquisition business, purchasing films for domestic and international theatrical release and across multiple platforms, including streaming and digital VOD. .
