Former WWE Champion and rising star of Turner Network’s All-Elite Wrestling franchise Jeff Hardy was arrested Monday night in Florida for drunk driving.
The Daytona Beach News Journal reported that Hardy, 44, was “also charged with driving with a suspended license, which prevented him from having a DUI interlock device in his car.”
This is reportedly Hardy’s third drunk driving arrest in the past 10 years and a third-degree felony. This story prompted AEW President and CEO Tony Kane to speak.
“We were able to reconnect with Jeff Hardy this afternoon,” Khan said on Twitter. “AEW does not condone Jeff’s alleged behavior.”
Khan announced that the results will follow.
“We explained to Jeff that we would help him deal with his drug problems, which he said he was willing to admit to. “Meanwhile, he will be suspended free of charge and can only return to AEW if he successfully completes his treatment and remains vigilant.”
