It turned out that the origin of man was more old than we thought

Apparently, we have not been told the whole truth in biology classes. Scientists found that a reasonable man emerged in the world more than a million years ago, not 600,000 years ago, as thought before. The new data is based on the analysis of the ancient skull in Hubei, China, and forced to reconsider the entire history of Homo Sapiens’s origin.

Yunan-2-We are talking about a fossil called this skull, he was discovered in 1990, but for a long time he was attributed to Homo Erectus species. Now, after a comparison with a comprehensive virtual reconstruction and more than 100 other findings, scientists have reached an unexpected conclusion: Yunan-2 is not the Homo Erectus, but the representative of a separate ancient line associated with the Homo League (also called “Dragon Man)).

“Our study shows that Yunxian 2 is not Homo Erectus, that the league treasures are an early member and that it is linked to Denisovites, Prof. Emphasis: This data changes exactly when individual human lines begin to form. It turned out that this process was already a million years ago – much earlier than the default.

Experts used 3D modeling and computed tomography for the restructuring of the skull. The restored form contained anatomical details not only from Yunan-2, but also from the Yunan-1 skull, which was also a year ago. A comparative analysis showed the following: Despite primitive features such as a large large size arc, the structure of the brain and the shape of the skull resembles more modern people.

It is interesting that the found skull can be an intermediate connection between Homo Erectus and Homo Sapiens, and that both Denisovs and the “Dragon Man” occurs. This confirms the hypothesis that human evolution is not linear, but complex and branched.

Meanwhile, previous scientists made a basic discovery thanks to dinosaurs. Read the details here.
