Despite the increasing interest in plant foods, vegan restaurants around the world go through the best times. Famous institutions in the UK and the United States are closed one after another and some are closed to survive, even compromise on the concept and return meat dishes to the menu. The question of the restaurant and guests asked them – why the vegan explosion suddenly began to give up the position?

One of the most discussed cases was the closure of London Unity Diner, a cult vegan institution that offers plant versions of classic fast foods and supported animal shelters. People came to say goodbye to the restaurant, hugged the staff, but a few months later, the union came to life unexpectedly – thanks to a sharp increase in the profit in Vegan. Today, it works again, albeit with minimum snow.
A similar story was with another successful brand – Vurger Co. Sadık fans network, a burger with plant pork, a sauce series, shops in the largest cities. However, after the pandemi and inflation conditions, the enterprise could not cope: organizations were closed one by one and then quit the work completely. Such examples are not rare. Even one Madison Park in New York, the only vegan restaurant in the world with the star of three Michelin, announced that the meat has returned in the menu and explained it with the desire to “involve everyone”.
The crisis has a few reasons at the same time. First, the hospitality industry as a whole is experiencing a difficult period: food, rent and electricity prices are increasing. Secondly, there is a skepticism about the myths of vegetable milk about the dangers of ventilating the “ultra -rolling” products of veganism in society. And finally, people had more options: even today’s fast food networks offer vegan options at an affordable price.
However, there is still interest in plant foods. According to Vegan society, in the UK, about 2 million people describe themselves as vegans or follow a plant diet. However, the restaurants that focused exactly on such a audience were vulnerable. Indeed, while most organizations expand the vegan menu, guests with mixed preferences choose more often universal restaurants.
In the meantime, our stars are leaving their taste preferences. Previously, the Internet flew into the air with unexpected recognition of its famous TV presenter Irene Ponaroshka, who abandoned the vegetarian after compliance with the 12 -year power system.
