Mick Jagger has Covid, the Rolling Stones said in a statement posted on social media today. The 78-year-old rock legend tested positive when he arrived at the Amsterdam show and has symptoms.
As a result, the show was canceled tonight in the city, according to social media posts.
“The testimony will be postponed later. Tickets for today’s show will be awarded for the postponed date. “Wait for the details,” she says.
The Stones started their European tour this month to celebrate the band’s 60th anniversary. The next schedule runs until Friday in Bern, Switzerland, so the delay gives Jagger 4-5 days to recover. If this show is also postponed, the tour will resume in Milan, Italy at 9pm, giving you approximately 8 days to recover.
The singer’s health also caused the show to be postponed to 2019 when he was reportedly replaced with a heart valve.
We offer the full group statement:
The Rolling Stones were forced to cancel today’s Amsterdam concert at Johan Cruyff Arena after Mick Jagger tested positive after arriving at the stadium after showing symptoms of COVID.
The Rolling Stones deeply apologize for the delay tonight, but the safety of spectators, fellow musicians and the tour group must be a priority.
The show will be postponed for later. Tickets for today’s show will be awarded for the postponed date. Waiting for the details.
