The University of Wurzburg, named after Julius and Maximilian, learned why some women had romantic feelings for negative characters. The study was published in psychology in scientific Frontiers.

The team examined the phenomenon of romantic parasic relationships – unilateral emotional connections with fictional characters. The survey participated in 47 women called “bad guys ından from films or series of sympathy for them. The girls evaluated their emotions for the characters and also made tests on personality traits.
The results have shown that women who are interested in a fun and optional approach to relationships are more likely to have romantic feelings for such film and serial heroes.
The “bad guys” in the media usually embodies the male domination and control of male domination that can be resonated with some psychological needs. The study showed that such characters not only attracted attention, but also cause an impact and control of the audience.
