Blake Lively’s legal team has responded to Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit against The New York Times. The lawyers released their statements to Deadline.
“Nothing in this case changes any of the allegations made in Ms. Lively’s complaint with the California Department of Civil Rights or the federal complaint she filed earlier today. The statement said the lawsuit was based on the patently false premise that the administrative complaint was a ruse based on a choice “not to sue Baldoni” and that “the lawsuit was never the end goal.”
Let’s remember that in December, Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of harassment and calls to “destroy” his reputation. He made a statement after the case made headlines. “I hope my lawsuit helps cover up these sinister retaliatory tactics designed to harm people who speak out about abuse and help protect others who may be targeted,” he said.
