Worrying news on the last Saturday of this year. Researchers are sounding the alarm about space debris orbiting Earth.

According to scientists, too much can lead to disaster. University of Arizona professor Vishnu Reddy said this during an interview with CNN. He explained that the “Kessler syndrome” scenario raises concerns. According to him, debris in space starts a chain reaction. The explosion of one of the fragments scatters smaller particles that hit and destroy other space objects.
The expert noted that the number of objects launched into space has increased exponentially in the last four years. He added that the increasing impact of collision of debris particles could continue to render orbiting satellites inoperable, leading to disaster.
We previously wrote that the world’s first wooden satellite was launched into space. Details are here.
