In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the 47-year-old singer said Martin helped her through the divorce. “He was with me when I left and his heart was broken along with me. He checked in on me every day to see how I was doing and sent me words of encouragement, strength, and wisdom. I see him as someone who looks at life from a different perspective and is sensitive to other people’s needs. “She is very sensitive, very empathetic,” Shakira shared.
Shakira and Pique were together for 11 years before their high-profile divorce in 2022. Rumor has it that the reason for the separation was the betrayal of the famous football player. The couple has two sons: eleven-year-old Milan and nine-year-old Sasha.
