Snoop Dogg will star in and co-produce Luc Besson’s next film. The sci-fi film received the descriptive title “The Last Man.”
The film is expected to be shot in the spirit of The Fifth Element, where science fiction, comedy and action are brought together. Although the post-apocalyptic plot is being kept under wraps, it is believed to be inspired by the movie Planet of the Apes and is linked to Dogg’s 2009 song Last Man Standing, Variety reports.
The project was directed by Luc Besson, who successfully delved into science fiction with the 1997 cult film The Fifth Element starring Bruce Willis, followed by Lucy starring Scarlett Johansson. The latter was a worldwide box office hit in 2014.
Meanwhile, the musician recently announced that he wanted to make a movie inspired by Wes Ball’s love for the Planet of the Apes film series. And the other day, an advertisement appeared on the Internet in which Dogg was recreated using artificial intelligence in the company of Frank Sinatra.
