Despite the record warm autumn, Muscovites will still be able to enjoy the snow-covered capital. Abnormal snowdrifts have formed due to heavy snowfall in the last 24 hours. This was reported by Evgeny Tishkovets, leading expert of the Phobos meteorological center.

Due to abnormal snowfall, the snow depth at Moscow’s main weather station increased from two centimeters to 13 centimeters, four centimeters above normal. In the western and northern parts of the Moscow region, snowdrifts formed, which usually only occur in January.
Tishkovets noted that forecasters are likely to set a new rainfall record, which was last broken 36 years ago.
We have already talked about snow-related superstitions that we still believe today.
