This autumn was the warmest autumn recorded in Moscow

Last autumn in the capital was the warmest on record since 1879. This was reported by Mikhail Leus, leading expert of the Phobos meteorological center.

According to him, the average temperature in autumn was +8.8 degrees. It reached a record high in September (+17.1 – 5.2 degrees above normal), +7.7 in October (1.9 warmer than expected) and – +1.7 in November (2.2 warmer hot) .

“It turned out that autumn in the capital was on average 3.1 degrees warmer than the long-term average,” Leus said on his Telegram channel. The forecaster added that before that, the first places on the list of the warmest autumn seasons were the autumns of 1938 and 1974.

Then the average temperature was +7.9 degrees. Note that autumn 2023 ends with a result of +7.1. By the way, we have previously written that climate warming is occurring faster in Russia than in the rest of the world.
