A heartbreaking reason has been revealed as to why the Hollywood star is determined to reconcile with her two eldest stepchildren following her mother’s death in September. Nicole Kidman, 57, was devastated that Janelle didn’t get the chance to be reunited with her two grandchildren, whom she raised with Tom Cruise.
“Losing her mother made Nicole not want to waste any more time. Janelle was hurt by the fact that she and her husband Anthony broke up with Isabella and Connor, a friend of the star family told New Idea magazine. Note that Kidman and Cruise adopted Isabella and Connor in the early ’90s, but after their divorce in 2001, the children sided with their father and have not been seen in public with their mother since 2007.
“They were their first grandchildren and they were once very close. “It was a shame they couldn’t see him in person before he died,” the source added. He said the regret “fueled the need for real reconciliation.”
Kidman has four children: Isabella, 31, and Connor, 29, as well as daughters Sunday, 16, and Faith, 13, with her current husband Keith Urban.
Let us remind you that the actress’s mother passed away a few hours before Nicole Kidman received the best actress award for the movie ‘Baby’ on the last day of the Venice Film Festival. The Oscar-winning actor has previously said that his father’s “sudden” death and a series of other losses affected him deeply.
