The 28-year-old actor spoke to reporters at the party held after the premiere of Gladiator 2 in Los Angeles. Paul Mescal says he’s ready for Gladiator 3.
The artist admitted that he would gladly take up the sword and wear sandals again in the third part of the film. People quotes Paul Mescal: “I think if Gladiator 3 comes out, I hope I’ll be there.”
When asked if the actor could relate his character’s anger to his career, Paul Mescal replied: “I mean, there’s no use in anger in acting.”
The star also revealed that the scenes with co-star Connie Nielsen were among her favorites in the Ridley Scott film. “Connie and I had been unknowingly separated before we started shooting, so we approached this scene with very different intentions… We wanted very different results from it,” Mescal said.
“There was a really intense rehearsal with Ridley and Connie and I thought: ‘This is exactly where I want to be. “I want to be with a great actor and one of the best directors of all time,” the actor said.
As a reminder, Gladiator 2 will be released in theaters on November 22. Earlier, Paul Mescal and Ridley Scott appeared on the red carpet together after a huge argument.
