A musical manuscript of an unknown waltz by composer Frederic Chopin has been found in the Morgan Library and Museum after 200 years. It was transferred to the institution in 2019, but was not included in the special catalog due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to The New York Times, musicologists examined the handwriting and determined that the author of the work was Frederic Chopin. The composer’s works belong to the period between 1830 and 1835. According to experts, this is one of Chopin’s shortest waltzes: it lasts about 80 seconds.
