Atlanta Trouble rapper Mariele Semonte dos performs Sunday morning at Lake St. James was shot dead in his apartment complex.
The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office said the two were shot at 3:20 p.m. Sunday morning. Lawmakers said the troll was lying on the ground outside the apartments when they arrived. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
In a Trouble post, Deff Jam announced his death on Instagram.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Trouble’s children, loved ones and fans. He is a true voice for his city and an inspiration for the community he proudly represents. RIP Skoob.”
Investigators say no arrests have been made. However, there is an arrest warrant for Jamil Jones, 33, who accused him of murder. It is unclear what the relationship between Trouble and Jones was.
Trouble released his first mixtape in 2011. The album included the song “Bussin”, which was watched more than 2.7 million times on YouTube.
