While the cause of death was not specified, it was stated that the actor passed away peacefully next to his family.
“We are saddened to share the news that our husband/father/grandfather, Kris Kristofferson, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday. We are all so lucky to have had the time we had with him. Thank you for loving her all these years, and when you see a rainbow, know that she is smiling at all of us,” the family wrote on social media.
