Samuel L. Jackson worked with a variety of directors and film studios, but was still blown away by Marvel. The terms of the contract surprised him.
The actor was offered a deal for nine films at once. The 75-year-old actor was worried that he would not have time to participate in all the projects on the list. “Making a movie is not the fastest process in the world. I didn’t know they were going to make nine movies in two and a half years. This is a little crazy. “How long do I have to survive without breaking the terms?” I thought. Jackson told GQ.
The rest of Marvel’s terms were quite acceptable to Jackson, and he took the risk. “By the way, Jackson made his first appearance as Nick Fury, the founder and former spy of the Avengers and SHIELD, in the Iron Man movie in 2008, and his ninth appearance in the movie Spider-Man: Far from Home in 2019.”

Jackson’s last Marvel project was Nia DaCosta’s Marvels in 2023. The actor has appeared in four non-Marvel films this year, including the role of Wic in Garfield and the title role in the August Wilson adaptation The Piano Lesson. She can next be seen in the western film “The Unholy Trinity” alongside Pierce Brosnan.
