In London, well-known activists of Just Stop Oil spilled soup on two paintings from Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” series. The Guardian reports this.

The incident occurred at a National Gallery exhibition featuring the works of a Dutch artist. There, three activists came and threw tomato soup on the tables. The goals of those who joined the movement were “Sunflowers 1888” and “Sunflowers 1889”. The police have already detained them.
Meanwhile, the action took place a few hours after two members of the organization were sentenced to prison. In 2022, Just Stop Oil activists poured soup on Jean Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring” and Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” and then moved to the windows of luxury brands. They operated in several countries simultaneously.
