The Sims movie, based on the game of the same name, has been officially confirmed. The project will be produced by Amazon MGM Studios. The film will be directed by Loki series director Kate Herron. She will co-write the script with Bryony Redman (“Doctor Who”) and Margot Robbie’s company will produce the film.

The game’s creator was inspired to create the film by Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which has gained worldwide popularity and even taken over the fashion world, forcing celebrities to wear pink.
“The Sims franchise General Manager Kate Gorman said she wanted to allow viewers to feel nostalgic and show new generations what their parents and siblings enjoyed. The film also promises to reveal the secret of Bella Goth, the most recognizable Sim in gaming history.”
“You’re going to see a lot of The Sims universe come to life, and you’re going to see a lot of the classic elements that our players love come to life in the movie,” Gorman said in an interview with Variety . “They plan to hide a lot of Easter eggs in the tape. “I’m sure there’s a pool where there’s no stairs,” Kate joked.
It is possible to make the film in the language of The Sims universe, but with subtitles. The creators of the project think about how interesting the implementation will be.
