During a medley, Sabrina waved at an astronaut and then kissed an alien while singing Oops! I did it again. “I saw Sabrina Carpenter perform. Why is she kissing an alien on stage? I didn’t get that part. It’s so weird,” Spears, 42, wrote on her blog.
The situation has really gotten a little out of hand. Eagle-eyed fans have decided that it could be a reference to Britney and Madonna’s scandalous performance at the VMAs. Viewers are suggesting that the humanoid figure could be a parody of the pop icon.
Spears, by the way, immediately booked Sabrina because she loves and respects her very much. I just didn’t understand this part of the show. This is not the first time Britney has criticized the use of singers’ images. Recently, she threatened to sue seriously ill Halsey. But later she dropped her claims.
