Joker: Madness for Two director Todd Phillips said that the script of the film was changed several times due to the dissatisfaction of lead actor Joaquin Phoenix. According to him, the actor commented on every scene he did not like.
“You think, ‘Okay, this scene worked, let’s go shoot it.’ The director recalled in an interview with Variety that Joaquin said, ‘No, no, no, let’s discuss this real quick.’ It’s the end of the world.”
Phillips previously said the second installment of the psychological thriller would be his last. According to the director, he wants to return to comedies.
Let us also remind you that the closed premiere of the film took place at the Venice Film Festival on September 4. Viewers will see the film on October 4.
