Cult rock band Linkin Park will embark on a world tour with an updated lineup. The band has been off the stage for seven years following the death of lead singer Chester Bennington.
The band’s new album, “From Zero”, will also be released on November 15. The band announced that Emily Armstrong will be their new vocalist. She will share the role with Mike Shinoda. Papa Roach’s producer and songwriter Colin Brittain has joined the band as drummer. He will replace co-founder Rob Bourdon.
“Rob told us a few years ago that he wanted to step away from the group. We realized that his departure was inevitable. He started making less appearances, less contact with us, and I know the fans noticed that. As a friend, it upset me, but at the same time, I want him to do what makes him happy,” Mike Shinoda told Entertainment Weekly.
Let us remind that the band has been on hiatus since 2017, when the life of their lead singer Chester Bennington was tragically cut short. Evanescence’s leader Amy Lee was expected to take his place, but she denied this assumption. Linkin Park recently released a video of an unreleased song with Chester Bennington. Let us remind that the death of the band’s lead singer was learned on July 20, 2017.
