Affleck said at the very beginning of the conversation that his ex-girlfriends are often angry with him. The actor admitted that if his ex-girlfriends were in their current boyfriend’s shoes, he would see himself as the same bad ex.
“I’m not a womanizer or a physical or mental abuser or anything like that. These relationships never end well. Instead of saying, ‘Look, don’t do this, please don’t act like this,’ I’m going to keep doing this until I don’t want to be in this relationship,” Affleck said in an interview 25 years ago.
“Then I create some kind of a scene, I do something or I don’t call, and then he gets angry. I can’t blame him for that because I’ve developed such a passive-aggressive temper that I have no sympathy for him and I tell him, ‘Of course I didn’t call you. If you weren’t such an annoying, moody harpy, I would have called you,'” the Hollywood actor said, explaining how he usually breaks up with girls and hopes that one day his behavior will change.
