Elton John, 76, has spent the last few months at home after battling a serious infection that has left him nearly blind in one eye.
The hitmaker gave his last concerts last summer and then disappeared from the eyes of his fans. The famous artist finally decided to comment on the situation and gave a detailed answer on his page on the social network.
“I was struck down with a serious eye infection over the summer which unfortunately left me with limited vision in one eye. I am recovering but it is an extremely slow process. It can take time for vision to return to the affected eye. I am grateful to the wonderful team of doctors and nurses who have looked after me over the last few weeks, and to my family,” Elton wrote.
In 2023, it was reported that Elton John was hospitalized. We previously wrote that the artist completed his five-year farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in Stockholm. I will never forget you, friends. I played so many concerts, how could you forget that? You are in my mind, in my soul and in my heart, and I am so grateful to you,” the musician said to his fans.
