Halle Berry says her children will have their own careers in Hollywood if they want to. The actress wants them to work hard for success.
The 57-year-old movie star believes that no one can take away the privileges a person has achieved. “I didn’t do favoritism. No one helped me. They have to do it the same way. They have to make an effort, learn a trade, work hard and support themselves,” Holly was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
Halle Berry herself comes from a poor family. Their father left them early to live with their mother, who worked as a nurse in a psychiatric hospital. The star moved to New York at the age of 23 to become an actress. At the beginning of Berry’s career, her financial situation was so bad that she lived in a homeless shelter.
Holly has a 16-year-old daughter named Nala. In 2013, she married actor Olivier Martinez, who plays Catwoman. Their son Maceo was born the same year.
Halle Berry recently tried unsuccessfully through the courts to force her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, to undergo psychotherapy to help him co-parent their children.
