The artist and singer began to drift apart and then decided to end their romance, the Daily Mail writes. Chris Martin has reportedly “accepted that the relationship is over.”
The couple have been desperately trying to repair their relationship over the past few months. “They will always love each other but they have both come to the conclusion that this relationship is not meant to be long-term. They are both busy people; Chris was in Europe with Coldplay and they both have personal priorities, passions and work commitments that don’t naturally mesh with each other,” an insider told the publication. “They wanted it to work but it didn’t work and they have now accepted that it’s better to move on.”
Note that the 34-year-old Hollywood star was photographed without her emerald engagement ring while walking her dog in Malibu last weekend, where she lives with her fiancé Dakota Johnson.
There were rumors in 2019 that the couple had taken a brief break, allegedly due to the musician’s insistence on having children, but Chris and Dakota quickly got back together. New speculations emerged in May of this year that the lovers had split, but in June, PEOPLE magazine reported that they were still together.
