Matt Damon is happy he’s not as popular as his friend and Good Will Hunting co-star Ben Affleck, he said on the Radio Times Podcast.
Indeed, Ben Affleck’s personal life, or rather his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, is one of the most talked about topics. Matt Damon understands how difficult the situation is for his close friend: “I’m very lucky in that sense. especially when I look at Casey’s brother Ben. I can’t imagine living under that kind of scrutiny. “I was lucky to kind of escape that aspect of popularity.”
The actor also admitted that he was happy because his marriage to Luciana Barroso did not attract the attention of the paparazzi: “I just wanted to work, so I hid for a few years until I got my act together. Luckily, I fell in love with someone who was not interested in that business and could tolerate that part of being famous, and that really supported me.”
