Good news for House of the Dragon fans. According to Deadline, the Game of Thrones prequel will last for four seasons, according to showrunner Ryan Condal.

The executive producer promised that in the third season, fans of the series will see a large-scale scene of the Battle of the Bosphorus: “This will be the biggest work we have ever done.”
According to Condal, the creators of House of the Dragon wanted to spend more time on the long-awaited scene. Filming for the series’ sequel will begin in early 2025. The series producer did not say how many episodes there will be in the third and fourth seasons.
He also didn’t reveal any major plot developments in future episodes, but he did promise that “a lot of great things are going to happen” in season three. Specifically, there will be not only exciting moments, but also some truly unexpected and revealing character nuances.
It was previously known that work was ongoing on seven series set in the Game of Thrones universe. The TV channel will broadcast three new game projects and four animation projects.
