How to take beautiful beach photos (for Instagram, let’s be honest)?

Stars are not born, they become. Here are some simple tips to take beautiful beach photos and be a true vacation photo queen, and quickly piss off your friends.

Summer is my favorite season for two reasons:

  • HIS MOTHER’S HOLIDAYS
  • Holiday photos

Here, we’ve done the rounds.

Let’s face it, holidays are the only moment in life that is truly worth living. NO, I’m kidding, life is beautiful.

But hey, a vacation in the sun is the most wonderful time of the year, it would be a shame not to share it with the whole world.

Luckily, humans created Instagram, which allows anyone to show off their perfect vacation to the poor workers left to die on the subway like old asses.

Personally, I dedicate myself to taking holiday photos on Instagram without regard for my neighbours, just to really piss off my friends and above all to share my life because I love it (it really deserves to be told more).

Instead, when it’s my friends’ turn, I complain incessantly, screaming into my cell phone:

“We don’t want to know that you swam with manta rays in the Seychelles Jean-Claude!”

Breeeeeef.

As a big lover of vacation shots, I would like to give you some advice so that you can take beautiful photos in a place that at first glance is not suitable for handling technological objects: the beach.

Where to pose on the beach to take beautiful photos?

We don’t think enough about position, even though it plays a huge role in capturing great shots.

On the beach, it is best to choose a small space where there are no children who can come and play a cake at your feet, tourists in fluorescent bathing suits who would ruin the environment, and stray dogs with mange.

Ultimately, everyone has their own tastes and editorial line.

I also have a weakness for photos in front of the sea rather than just on the sand, to give more perspective and scenography to the photo.

Also, you obviously need to be facing the sun with the photographer facing you, and therefore with your back to the sun, to avoid risking backlighting, which is difficult to correct even with a good photo editing app. But sometimes backlighting can add character to a shot.

Let’s recap, it’s better to have your feet in the water, have the horizon possibly in the background for a bit of perspective, but position the photographer slightly to the side so that he can have a bit of the beach within reach of the field and of life, in my opinion it’s nicer.

Then have fun and break the rules, even so sometimes we have nice surprises.

When to take photos at the beach?

There are several time slots when it is really nice to take pictures.

  • When the sun rises and illuminates the beach with soft light
  • When the sun is at its zenith for maximum brightness
  • When the sun goes down (my favorite time) and the light turns red, it brings warmth to the body. This is when I find the shades the most interesting. Between orange, red and purple there is enough to take magazine-worthy photos

Personally I would advise you to wait until the sun sets into the sea to machine gun!

What to wear to take beautiful photos on the beach?

For your photos to look good, it is essential that you feel good in what you are wearing.

The more comfortable you are, the more natural you will look in the photo.

So get a swimsuit that you like and feel comfortable in.

The important thing, like every moment of your life, It’s about having confidence in yourself and having fun, no matter if you have rolls, stretch marks and all that.

Look at yourself with indulgence. Better yet, look at yourself as the mega bomb that you are.

What to equip yourself with to take beautiful photos on the beach?

Of course, bring a swimsuit or some clothes that you feel comfortable in. It can be a kimono, a crochet set, a light dress or pants and a top. Nothing.

So, don’t hesitate to get a small case in which you can carefully store your phone so that the lens is safe.

Finally, you can bring some accessories to perfect the identity of your photoshoot (hats, glasses, pebbles, shells, coconuts, muscular guy).

If you want to push yourself a little further and don’t have time to wait for the sunset, you can take some colored plastic discs to place them on both sides of your face and body and reflect very beautiful lights on youwho will imitate why not those of sunset.

How to get around the problems inherent in shooting on the beach?

When you say beach, you say sand, water and sunscreen on your fingers.

To make sure you don’t have sand stuck in your eyebrows, equip yourself with a small mirror that will allow you to check the elements of your body and face that will appear in the photo.

Also, to avoid getting grains of sand and old pieces of Hermit Bernard in your eyes, you can safely pose with a pair of glasses, which will protect you as well as perfect your look.

As for sunscreen, make sure you wipe it off properly with a terry towel before handling your phone or camera.

The towel can do double duty because your photo assistant (who can travel decently without a guy who does this job?) will happily use it to shield himself from the wind and allow you to have a wavy bundle even in the midst of a mistral.

There you have it, now you have lots of tips to seriously show off on Instagram.

You no longer have any excuses for not posting 52 photos of yourself a day, from every angle.

I can’t wait to see the result.
