For her participation in the movie, the actress received the Golden Raspberry anti-award. She came to the ceremony with the Oscar for Best Actress in her hand and spoke ironically about her award.
The artist admitted that she was proud of her reincarnation as Catwoman, but still struggled to cope with the pain of her failure. “I felt like I was a failure. I carried that burden for years,” Holly explained.
The celebrity added that she was not happy with the negative reaction from the audience. Berry also noted that although it was difficult for her, she accepted the defeat with dignity.
“I’m used to being a fish swimming upstream. I’m used to challenging stereotypes. I didn’t mean to make light of it, but I went and got that raspberry, laughed at myself, and kept moving forward,” Berry concluded in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
