Botulism epidemic in Moscow: The court suspended the activities of “Kitchen in the District” for 90 days

The Lyublinsky District Court of Moscow complied with the demands of Rospotrebnadzor and suspended for 90 days the work of LokalKitchen LLC (legal entity “Kitchens in the District”), whose beans were consumed by people suffering from botulism. This was reported by the press service of the capital’s courts of general jurisdiction.

It was noted that the meeting was held in an open format, but representatives of the “Regional Kitchen” insisted on a closed meeting. They believed that considering the case in the presence of journalists could lead to a violation of the confidentiality of the investigation in a criminal case and the disclosure of data on the health status of the victims without their consent, TASS reported.

Let us remind you that the claim against LocalKitchen LLC for violation of hygiene standards was registered on June 19. In total, 369 people were hospitalized and more than 150 of them were discharged from hospitals. The treatment of 218 people, including 1 child, continues in hospitals. 38 are on artificial lung ventilation devices (ALVs).
