Netflix’s live-action series One Piece has cast four new actors to play some villains in its upcoming second season.
Daniel Lasker (Raised by wolves) will play Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson (Batwoman) was cast in the role of Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn (Warrior) is set as Miss Valentine and David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil) will take on the role of Mr. 3.
These four characters are key members of the Byzantine Works crime syndicate in Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga series.
They merge Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu like Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd like Nami, Giacomo Romero like Usopp and Taz Skylar like Sanji, who will reprise their roles in the second season.
In the series, “Monkey D. Luffy is a young adventurer who has wanted a life of freedom for as long as he can remember. Luffy sets out from his small village on a dangerous journey in search of the legendary treasure, One Piece, to become the Pirate King!
“But to find the ultimate prize, Luffy will have to assemble the crew he’s always wanted before finding a ship to set sail on, scouring every inch of the vast seas, outrunning Marines, and defeating dangerous rivals at every turn.”
