Soon summer begins to make itself felt and you can see it on the market stalls: the apricots are finally arriving. So, as a good altruist, I share with you an inevitable and delicious recipe: toasted apricots with honey and almonds.
The recipe for roasted apricots with almonds and honey
To make this recipe you will need:
- approximately 500 g of ripe apricots
- 4 tablespoons of honey
- 20 g of butter
- A large handful of flaked almonds
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Then, in a saucepan, heat the honey until it becomes very liquid. Wash and pit the apricots and place them in a baking dish. Pour hot honey over it, put little pieces of butter everywhere and you're done, in the oven for 15 minutes. In the meantime, put the almonds in the pan for about five minutes, to toast them well. When the apricots are cooked, all you have to do is sprinkle them on top. And now it's ready!
For those with a sweet tooth, you can enjoy them with a scoop of vanilla or pistachio ice cream or even the best of the best: a scoop of salted butter caramel.
