The embodiment of cartoons in cinema has become one of the brightest trends of recent years. “The Little Mermaid”, “Aladdin”, “Mulan”, “Beauty and the Beast” – this is a fairly short list of animation translated into cinema. While some viewers liked the idea, others criticized the changes, preferring the originals.
Pixar CEO Pete Docter will not adapt the cartoons produced by the animation studio. Even the fans’ wishes had no effect.
“I like making original things. Moreover, when you see, for example, a house flying on hot air balloons, your mind says, “Wait a second. Houses are very heavy. How do balloons lift a house?” But for a cartoon, that’s pretty normal,” Pete Docter told the Times.
Now the animator is focused on releasing sequels. The second part of “Puzzle” will be released this summer. Next up is “Toy Story” and the new cartoon “Elio,” which is scheduled to be released next year.
