Good news for SpongeBob fans. According to Deadline, Netflix will release a cartoon about one of the main characters, the evil and power-hungry copepod Plankton.
In the new cartoon, Plankton’s world is turned upside down when his plan for world domination fails. In the story, the protagonist runs the Chum Bucket restaurant with Karen, a computer who serves him not only as an assistant but also as his wife.
The premiere of the animated series is planned to be held in 2025. The film is directed by Dave Needham (“The Boss Baby 2”) and written by Mark Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller.
Let’s remember that 345 episodes have been released since SpongeBob was first released in 1999. The long-awaited sequel has been announced for this year.
