The Avengers series will continue. Director Shawn Levy is planning a fifth film. It will start working soon.
Work on the project was supposed to start several years ago, but in 2023 the director abandoned the idea. According to Variety, he is now ready to work on “The Avengers” again.
The film, which is planned to be released on May 1, 2026, does not have a name yet. Originally, the film was called Avengers: Kang Dynasty, but the idea was discredited when Jonathan Majors, who was cast as the time-traveling villain Kang the Conqueror, was found guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend. After this unnamed episode of Avengers, the movie Avengers: Secret Wars will be released. Its premiere is scheduled to take place on May 7, 2027.
