Mad Prime Europe special: everything you need to know about the European elections

THE elections at the European Parliament will take place from 6 to 9 June 2024. For the occasion Madmoizelle and Ebra are organizing a European elections special Twitch marathonS. See you on Tuesday 22 May at 5pm on our Twitch channel.

Every five years the citizens of the European Union elect the members of the European Parliament. This year the vote will take place from 6 to 9 June 2024. On this occasion, the French will elect the 81 deputies who will represent them in the European Parliament. To better understand how this big election works, Madmoizelle and Ebra are organizing a big one live twitch Tuesday 22 May from 5pm to 11pm. This marathon is part of a series of special broadcasts on Europe, organized in editorial partnership with Check Europe and co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme.

This show will be divided into 3 parts :

  • What are the European elections for? ? With Alexandra Lesur, editor-in-chief of Tout l’Europe and Audrey Vuetaz, political journalist at the Public Senate and creator of the podcast on Europe “Trait d’unionand Laure Niclot, president of the Young Europeans association.
  • Towards a feminist Europe. With Karima Delli, environmentalist MEP and president of the Transport and Tourism Commission of the European Parliament, Amandine Clavaud Co-director of studies, director of the Observatory on gender equality of the Jean-Jaurès Foundation and author of the book Women’s rights: the big setback. Severely tested by the health crisis in Europe (Éditions de l’Aube, March 2023). Sandra Lhote-Fernandes, Head of Health & Gender Equality Advocacy at Oxfam, and Ana Cuesta, member of the NGO Choose the Cause of Women
  • Young Europeans and fake news . With Bogdan Bodnar, cybersecurity journalist for Numerama, Isabelle Coustet, head of the European Parliament’s liaison office in France, and Laure Niclot, president of the Young Europeans association,
