The 3 most beautiful TV series of May that will warm you up even in the cold spring

During the May holidays, the cool weather spoils the mood a bit, so you want to enjoy watching movies with your friends instead of long walks. We found shows with great, complex plots to watch and discuss together.

“Pharmacy”

If you crave adventures in the spirit of the “Breaking Bad” series, then you will definitely enjoy “Pharma”, a crime comedy about men who set up an underground laboratory. It all starts when 18-year-old Anton, suffering from myodystrophy (a rare genetic disease in which muscle weakening progresses – Ed.), loses access to an expensive and rare drug. His overbearing older brother Mikha and his friends find an unexpected way to help him and begin making the medicine themselves. The main roles in the series were played by Mark Eidelstein, Nikita Pavlenko, Aram Vardevanyan, Valentin Antsiferov, Alexander Golovin and Sergey Gilev.

“I know who killed you”

This plot will be especially appreciated by fans of Korean revenge thrillers in the spirit of Park Chan-wook. It’s no coincidence that the narrative takes the viewer back in time: to the 1970s, the early 2000s, and 2016. The film is based on the novel “Eva” by Lyubov Barinova, and the main roles are played by Alexander Yatsenko and Yulia Snigir. The story begins with the abduction of a three-year-old girl from a Moscow circus. Panicked parents are ready to do anything, but the kidnapper doesn’t need a ransom. He blames them for his sister’s death and now it’s his mission to make his parents suffer.

“Eric”

Anyone who watched Muppets Sesame Street as a child will understand the story of Vincent, an accomplished puppeteer and creator of a children’s television show. The action takes place in New York in the 1980s, when the AIDS epidemic and corruption were widespread. One morning, Vincent (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) learns that his nine-year-old son Edgar is missing. To suppress his feelings of guilt, he creates a life-size puppet named Eric, an exact monster from his son’s drawing. He sincerely hopes that the boy will return home when he sees him on television. The story itself is reminiscent of another TV series starring Jim Carrey called Just Kidding. In the story, the character, who is also the presenter of a children’s program, experiences the death of his son.
