Streaming service Disney+ has unveiled the first trailer for the restored version of the cult film about The Beatles, “Let it be.” The premiere of the film will take place on May 8.

The restoration was carried out by director Peter Jackson, who used artificial intelligence technology to improve image and sound quality. “I have always believed that ‘Let It Be’ was necessary to complete the story told in the series. “Ending it all with the original Lindsay-Hogg tape, which sounds and looks much better than it did in 1970, is the only right option,” he said.
Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s 1970 film Let it be shows the band’s final performances before disbanding. Initially, the film was conceived as a documentary about the process of recording a new album. However, due to creative differences, the project turned into the story of the dissolution of a cult group.
