Miss AI: Virtual influencers now have their competition and that’s not good news

The Miss AI competition will judge women created by artificial intelligence based on three criteria: the technical capabilities of their creator, their audience and their appearance.

How far will AI go? From now on, entirely virtual influencers, created using artificial intelligence, will be able to participate in a competition similar to that of Miss France: that of Miss AIwhere women generated by artificial intelligence will compete based on their beauty criteria.

Candidates were judged partly by their appearance

This competition, created by the company Fanvue, a platform similar to OnlyFans, in collaboration with the World AI Creator Awards, will be held on May 10. Registration is free and the winner will win a $5,000 prize, plus $8,000 in sponsorship.

Entrants will be judged on three criteria: the technical skills of their creator, the size of their audience and their appearance. On the competition website we read: “Contestants will be judged on some of the classic aspects of pageantry, including their beauty, poise and unique answers to a series of questions such as ‘if you could have a dream to make the world a better place, what would it be?’ ” ».

Hypersexualized virtual jurors

And on the jury? Two human people and two virtual models. These last two, Aitana Lopez AND Emilia Pellegrinithey are both considered hypersexualized by their creators, meeting more than the classic beauty standards: white, thin, with a large breast… Furthermore, the first, a Spanish virtual influencer, created by the agency The Clueless is also registered on the Fanvue platform, underlines the Huff Post.

However, in an interview given to Forbes one of the two human judges, Sally Ann Fawcetthistorian of beauty pageants, tried to demolish the criticisms: “It’s not about having fancy asses, boobs and figures. (…) Creators have the opportunity to change the public perception of women with artificial intelligence and I hope to play a role in this by selecting a winner who represents the modern world. »
