Actress Cameron Diaz, 51, and musician Benji Madden have a four-year-old daughter named Raddick and a newborn son named Cardinal. It is believed that both of the couple’s children were born through surrogacy. But, as it turned out, not everything in the star family is as smooth as it seems from the outside.

The artist and guitarist faced difficulties after the birth of their second child. The couple decided not to accumulate problems by turning to a family therapist for help, writes OK!.

The Hollywood star has put her career on hold and rarely agrees to shoots to focus on her mental health, an insider said. “She told her friends that she and her husband went to counseling, which helped keep communication smooth and resolve problems before they became serious,” the source said. She added that Cameron Diaz is glad that she and her husband are going to therapy.

The artist has no regrets about moving from bustling Tinseltown to quiet Montecito, California. The insider noted that the couple sometimes likes to dress up and eat at their favorite restaurant. Meanwhile, Diaz and Madden recently stepped out for the first time since the birth of their son.
