Public and charity BAFTA has published the results of a survey of players on its website. It was supposed to define the most iconic video game character of all time. 4,000 players from all over the world participated in the survey.
At the top of the list is Lara Croft, the star of the Tomb Raider series. It first appeared in 1996 and has since been remade numerous times for television, film, and video games. In second place is Mario, who was created as a playable character in the first episode of the Donkey Kong series in 1981. Third place went to Agent 47, who made his debut in the game Hitman: Codename 47 in 2000. Also in the top five were Sonic the Hedgehog and Sackboy.
The rating also includes Pac-Man (Pac-Man), Link (The Legend of Zelda), Master Chief (Halo), Kratos (God of War), Shadowheart (Baldur’s Gate 3), Arthur Morgan (Red Dead Redemption 2), Pikachu ( Pokemon) and others.
