Arianna, social media manager 25 years old to miss, I can’t stop talking about her hair on the Laisse moi Kiffer podcast. That’s why, finally, we asked him to tell everything in a dedicated interview. And maybe he could help people with similar hair types and textures.
To miss. What relationship do you have with your hair? Have you always accepted your textured hair?
Arianna. I’ve never known how to take care of my hair. As a child and teenager I always adored them, I loved their colour, their thickness and their volume, even if I never knew how to tame them. I spent hours taking care of it (badly). I brushed them to dry them, I took oil baths which seemed ineffective and I used large surface straightening products to “tame the frizz”. Results of the competitions: they were still very swollen and foamy, and seemed very dry.
For the record, I cared so much about my hair and its length that one day, to punish me for my poor grades, my parents forced me to cut it. I must have been 13 and I had a hard time!
When I was 17 I cut them very short and until now I have always kept them short. Only recently, at 25, did I realize that I didn’t have straight hair and that I needed a routine and proper actions. I can’t wait for them to grow up so I can tap into their full potential!
I learned to take care of it thanks to TikTok, mostly.
How would you describe the nature of your hair?
I would describe my hair as wavy and thick, dry and low porosity (type 2b).
What’s your morning hair routine?
When I have time (and desire), I start by lifting the roots by gently sliding the silicone brush over the scalp in circular motions. Then I moisten all my hair with the spray and distribute a generous amount of aloe vera gel. Section after section, I curl my locks to form waves. I let my hair air dry or use a diffuser set to low temperature and minimal airflow without touching my hair. Once completely dry, I shake them with my hands and apply a drop of black seed oil to eliminate the cardboard effect of the aloe vera.
What is your possible hair routine before bed?
Before going to sleep, I massage my scalp with the silicone brush for about 10 minutes and sleep with a silk pillowcase.
What’s your shampoo routine when you’re short on time?
I wash my hair once a week. When I don’t have much time, I wash my hair with a Sephora strengthening shampoo and apply a Maui conditioner for dry hair. Then, once I have rinsed my hair and while it is still wet, I apply an Energie Fruit jelly for greater definition, I dry my hair with a microfibre towel, wrinkling it and let it air dry. Once dry, if I can, I apply a drop of black seed oil to soften the hair.
For now, I’m tinkering with my routine and it’s not working perfectly for me, although I’m making progress. I never knew how to take care of my hair and only recently realized that it wasn’t straight and needed special care.
What’s your shampoo routine when you have a lot of time?
I always do an oil bath before shampooing, which I leave on at least overnight. I also use a growth and strengthening serum that I apply to my scalp and massage circularly with the silicone brush. Just before washing my hair, I detangle it and massage my scalp for a few minutes. Then I use a Sephora strengthening shampoo and do 2 washes. I apply Maui conditioner and detangle my hair with a wide tooth comb. Once I have rinsed my hair thoroughly, I dry it slightly by rubbing it with my hands, but above all without a towel. I then apply my different products on very wet hair, distributing them with my fingers and then scrunching them up: an Elseve Leave-in (I know it’s not ideal but the jar is still half full and I don’t want to throw it away) and a defining jelly Fruit Energy. I dry my hair with a diffuser to get more volume than if I let it air dry.
What’s your go-to hairstyle for those days when your hair isn’t cooperating?
I flatten my hair and put it in a bun. It saves my life and I love the look. I often do this hairstyle when my hair is dirty and I take the opportunity to cover it in oil. To straighten my hair without pulling it too much, I wet it and comb it back, then tie it up and use lots of aloe vera gel to keep it in place.

What’s your go-to sports hairstyle?
I’m wearing a ponytail and a beanie. I often also take the opportunity to take a bath with oils (castor, carapate, nigella) and aloe vera gel.
What’s your hairstyle for special occasions?
For the moment I have not yet reached a length that allows me to do particular hairstyles. I had a mullet that I’m trying to grow back by keeping my temples shaved, and for now my hair is still short. So, for special occasions, I shave my temples, just try to give my hair as much volume as possible, make it wave as much as possible, and put a clip on each side for some semblance of order.
What product has revolutionized your routine?
I’m still looking for THE product that will change my life. So far the advice that has been most helpful to me is: wet your hair! And make them very wet! To recreate my waves when they’re completely flat, this is the only thing that works: wet them until they’re dripping, and scrub them.
