Lizzo, who has previously been accused of bullying and fat shaming, has announced her retirement from music. The singer published an angry post on a banned social network.
“I’m tired of putting up with everyone harassing me in life and online. All I want is to make music, make people happy, and help make the world a little better than it was before. But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me there. I always oppose the lies created about me for the sake of influence and opinion… I am constantly ridiculed because of my appearance… My identity is being torn apart by people who do not know me and who do not know me. Respect my name. I didn’t participate in this nonsense. I’m leaving,” he wrote in his Stories.
After the accusations, singer Grimes supported him. “I find it hard to believe that he could change so radically,” she said on social media. Read more here.
