There will be a big premiere next year. The biographical film, in which Michael Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson will play the role of a musician, will be released on the big screen. It has been announced who else will play in the movie.
According to Variety, Kat Graham, known for her role as Bonnie Bennett on The Vampire Diaries, will portray Diana Ross. Keep in mind that Jackson met Ross when she was nine years old. In his memoirs, the King of Pop described her as “mother, sister and lover rolled into one.”
Colman Domingo and Nia Long will play Joe and Katherine Jackson’s parents, while Miles Teller (Whiplash, Divergent, The Brave One) will play Jackson’s lawyer and advisor, John Branca. The project will also star Jessica Sula, Liv Simon, Kevin Shinick, Kaylin Darrell Jones, Kendrick Sampson and others.
The movie will be released on April 18, 2025. The film was produced by Graham King (Bohemian Rhapsody). The script was entrusted to John Logan (“007: Spectre,” “Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”) and the film was directed by Antoine Fuqua (“The Great Equalizer,” “The Magnificent Seven”).
