A concert is being held in Moscow on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the unification of Crimea with Russia

In honor of the tenth anniversary of the reunification of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol with the Russian Federation, a festive rally and concert is being held on Red Square in Moscow with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin’s website reports this.

“Dear friends, I sincerely greet everyone and congratulate you on your holiday – the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia,” Vladimir Putin began his solemn speech from the stage at the rally concert “10 years in his own port”. The head of state also noted that exactly 10 years ago, he addressed the public thinking that Crimea was called the “unsinkable aircraft carrier”. “This is exactly what gave rise to the idea that Crimea has returned to its home port,” the president said.

The head of state also noted that Crimea is not only a strategically important region. This is history, pride and, above all, people: residents of Sevastopol and Crimea. During the festival concert, Vladimir Putin sang the national anthem together with the artists and everyone present.

Let us recall that Crimea became part of Russia in 2014, following the referendum in which Crimea voted to reunify with the Russian Federation. Vladimir Putin signed an agreement on the admission of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia, approved by the State Duma and the Federation Council.
